Video Wins Design For America Contest
Arlington, VA – Today, the Sunlight Labs announced the Public Notice video, “Is Washington Bankrupting America?” won first place in the Design for America contest judged on ability to present government data in easy to understand, meaningful and creative ways.
“Is Washington Bankrupting America?” illustrates the staggering fiscal problems our government faces so that Americans can understand the severity of Washington’s overspending and was launched by BankruptingAmerica.org (an awareness campaign by Public Notice) on April 20.
“I am thrilled that the Sunlight Labs found “Is Washington Bankrupting America?” compelling, innovative and, informative,” said Gretchen Hamel, executive director of Public Notice. “This video breaks down the numbers on our current and future fiscal situation and shows that there are real consequences to government overspending. By winning the Design for America contest, we hope that more Americans will view the video and recognize the severity of our problems.”
