Here’s a roundup of this morning’s must-read budget and economic stories:

According to The Hill, Sens. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) and Tom Coburn (R-OK) are urging the debt supercommittee to make cuts to Medicare. Meanwhile, Reuters reports states are lobbying the supercommittee to not make cuts to Medicaid.

The Washington Post examines which leaders are most responsible for the size of the national debt.

The Washington Times looks at President Obama’s continued push for his job plan.

The New York Times says Europe is a step closer to expanding its fund for debt-ridden nations. Bloomberg reports the President doesn’t think Europe’s response is good enough.
