Here’s a roundup of this morning’s must-read budget and economic stories:

The Senate voted down President Obama’s jobs proposal on Tuesday. The Associated Press, Bloomberg, The Hill, The New York Times, Politico, Roll Call, The Wall Street Journal have the details. The President may now try to separate the provisions of the bill and pass them that way.
