Here’s a roundup of this morning’s must-read budget and economic stories:

CNN looks at the battle over defense spending.

The Hill says Democrats are discussing strategy on the upcoming debate over increasing the debt ceiling.

Talking Points Memo says Senate Republicans are considering a plan to reinstate three popular provisions of the 2010 health care bill if the Supreme Court strikes it down next month.

Meanwhile, The Associated Press says the health care tax credit for small businesses included in the 2010 bill has disappointed small business owners.

According to The Washington Post, the jobs recovery for Americans in their prime working years has been slow.  

The Washington Post says Spain may require a bailout very soon.
