Here’s a roundup of this morning’s must-read budget and economic stories:

House Republicans unveiled their new proposed rules package for the 112th Congress. According to Politico, among other things, Republicans will require Members to vote on raising the nation’s debt ceiling and require new mandatory spending be offset by spending cuts.

Dick Morris and Eileen McGann write in the New York Post that the 2010 U.S. Census is proof that states that tax their residents more fail. At RealClearPolitics.Com Michael Barone says states with no income tax have grown the most.
