Sad thing is we put up with it year after year after year. Unfortunately if you don't have money you cant run for these positions because of the expense involved in running campaign seems kind of lopped sided but thats the way they( government) like it.

First, the last election, in which the GOP championed that they would present Job's bill's for this country(haw, like trickle down), never happened. Add to that, Wall Street, Corporations that are now people, Tax breaks that continue to be skewed in favor of the 1%, those who do not want regulation of anything and lobby to remove the teeth from the Dodd Frank Bill. Then we had a bipartisan group of Congressional people who could not figure out where to make cuts???? There have been lots of smoke screens by most, in Congress, but little work, except to keep their own jobs. We need real change but I don’t expect to see that happen as long as BIG, Money from every group runs it.

This is an incredible problem all over the US. Any new or revamped road must comply. I am all for helping those that have physical challenges but these small, incremental improvements will end up NOT helping. In My area, we have a brand new curb cut with the new bump/ramp leading to broken/impassible sidewalk!

For all of Fred Hiatt's knowledge, the thing we need most is American manufacturing jobs. That will take care of the debt. Get a Democratic majority and everything else will fall into place

So NOT taxing the rich fairly is a BETTER idea? I say we take all the entitlements AWAY from the RICH, those RICH members of Congress! THEY get a FULL FOREVER pension JUST for serving the public for even ONE YEAR! AND how about denying THEM the amazing HEALTH PLAN we all are paying for? EITHER they give us all that SAME health plan, OR they get NO HEALTH PLAN from the government handouts!
The RICH are the worse offenders of corporate welfare handouts, YET the poor, who cannot defend themselves, are CONSTANTLY demonized by the RIGHT, while they take all the PORK they can lobby for!
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. Term limits NOW, and cut the entitlements! THEY have illegally assigned themselves raises and benefits against the Constitution, and it's TIME we take it all BACK!
VOTE them ALL OUT NOW, and give Washington a message that we are ALL FED UP!
