Al, probably the best post I’ve seen on this site to date.
You nailed one of problems…we have to deal with a HUGE overhang of debt which looks to strangle us.
The real problem is that oil is becoming worth more in the ground than pumped out, commerce can no longer afford its inputs (oil)

With the load of taxes and regulations from all levels,that are piled on an employer, you have to be out of your mind to hire anyone and be subject to the deluge of bureaucrats. It’s easier to just send it to China to have it made.
The only way to fix it is to STARVE government out! DON’t HIRE and YOU WON’T HAVE TO PAY THE TAXES.

So what happened the five percent that the Clinton administration made to magically disappear in 1994? Shouldn’t you be using the pre-Clinton numbers? They indicate that the real total unemployment is about 22.5%

Zachary, what do you mean when you say “OUR ECONOMY WAS IN A STILL STAND WHEN CLINTON WAS IN OFFICE…” If you mean standstill, I would like to know how you define this term, as not even the most ardent of Clinton detractors can say our economy was anything but booming during the Clinton years…
This video was nothing new or groundbreaking. You would literally have had to ONLY read headlines to not be aware of the facts contained within…and it offers absolutely no insight into why we have such an unemployment problem. It was visually interesting, but I was left otherwise unimpressed.

I’d just like to say I love the way the financial new shows are claiming the recession is over just because the stock market. Is back up. Nobody I big business or government really cares about the crisis any more because the rich have their money back and everything is fine and dandy while the rest of us 98 percent are still suffering. I cheered when the stock market took the big dive and I wouldn’t mind seeing it crash all together regardless the consequences, that’s the only way we’ll see any real change….maybe. A revolution?
