These days we can’t really trust Congress to do anything right. It’s almost like the more important the issue, the more inept they are when it comes to solving. It hurts to bring it up again, but the perfect example is the debt ceiling debate. They botched that one up something awful. And as we all know too well, their poor performance led to the nation’s top-notch credit rating being downgraded for the first time ever. Quite an achievement.
