A closer look at Medicare
Government overspending has either been at the root, or contributed to, most our nation’s economic problems. And there are, of course, some expenditures that are more to blame than others. These are the primary drivers of our debt – big ticket discretionary items like defense spending and mandatory spending including entitlement programs like Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security. The way we spend on these programs is simply unsustainable.

Tired of Medicare being given to illegal immigrants as well as uninsured citizens.It was designed and paid for with my tax dollars for me and other taxpayers and I do not remember voting to give to hospitals or lawbreakers.
What is it in the definition of illegal that the government doesn’t understand anymore??? Illegals as well as criminals aren’t supposed to have constitutional rights. If the government had any balls they would tell the illegals they have a month to leave this country, after that anyone caught will be deported and never be given a chance to become a citizen of the USA. Prisoners convicted of felonies, also are supposed to lose their rights, and as far as I am concerned, none of the above mentioned should be given any taxpayer money for ANYTHING.
Well first off why don’t we just allow healthy people such as myself who is employed and a vet buy into medicare or just do medicare for all and take the profit motive out?
The whole system is evil with the government robbing your money and then telling you what you can and cannot do for your healthcare. Down with communism/socialism and all the other evils that are destroying America at an ever accelerating pace.
Jennie: How can you say the whole medicare system is evil. You more than likely have an older person in your family or a friend living on social security. I’m thankful for the social security check I receive. I paid 7.5 % of my paycheck into SS for 32 years and the govt doubled it in return.
The gov’t cannot tell you what to do with your healthcare YET. That’s one of the reasons we (the TEA Party) went to Washington 3 times — to stop that bill. We weren’t successful because not enough of you joined us. You might want to think of doing more than posting not very meaningful messages.
Medicare is a scam because I have been paying into it for all the time I worked and every social security I receive at this point takes out for medicare. I am not able to use it because I can not find a doctor that will take a new medicare patient. I understand that doctors would not want to take a new medicare patient because for every one of those,every procedure that is done. The doctor submits the paperwork for each procedure and each patient then has to wait 120 days to be paid.
I am tired of the over spending and the over paid so call gov which is out of conrol. If they seal or SS and med. wemust sue the goverment for sealing our money.
