According to Rasmussen, 71% of adults say the government should let troubled banks, even ones that big, go out of business rather than find a way to keep them going; 19% think that if some of the largest banks in the country reach a point where they can no longer meet their obligations, the government should find a way to keep them in business.
Gallup/USA Today asked adults how they feel about the economy today and how they think the economy will look one year from now. The results were near mirror images. Only 29% of adults rated today’s economy as good; 71% said it is poor. However, by next year, 58% of adults believe the economy will be in good shape while 39% think it will be in poor shape.
