Public Pulse: Cuts to Federal Programs

According to Rasmussen, 65% of likely voters think thoughtful spending cuts should be considered in every program of the federal government. Just 20% disagree; 15% are undecided.

According to the Economist, 42% of adults think it is likely Congress will avoid going over the fiscal cliff while 43% think it is unlikely.

According to Gallup, 54% of adults do not believe it is the job of the federal government to make sure everyone has health insurance. 44% of adults do believe it is the job of the federal governemnt.

According to ARG, 50% of adults think the economy is in recession and 33% do not think it is in a recession.
