According to the Economist, 57% of adults believe the budget can be balanced without cutting Medicare and Social Security. Only 21% believe it cannot.
According to Fox News, only 20% of registered voters think it is a good idea to raise taxes in an economic downturn. 72% think it is a bad idea.
According to Gallup, 28% of Americans believe that creating more or better jobs is the most important thing to improve the U.S. Economy. 11% of Americans suggested decreasing taxes, 8% said improving the government and 7% said balancing the government’s budget.
According to The Hill, 47% of likely voters say it is impossible for them to become wealthy in their lifetime. 37% think it is possible.
According to Fox News, 37% of registered voters say they are better off than they were four years ago. 48% say the are worse off.
