According to Quinnipiac, 45% of registered voters approve of the debt ceiling deal. 44%  disapprove.
 


 
According to Gallup, only 17% of adults have a positive view of the government, the lowest among any of the 25 business and industry sectors that the poll asked about. 63% of adults have a negative view while 20% said they are neutral.
 


 
Economist: 14% of adults think the country is headed in the right direction and 70% think it is headed in the wrong direction.
