I believe that there is a lot of changes that need to be made but we are in the state we are in due to the republician administration under Bush and the republician party of NO. If the republicians would just stop acting like a bunch of two year babies and start thinking about the average person and not the upper 3% of America the economy would start turning around alot faster than it is. I believe that the GOP only cares about their upper class rich friends and not the middle class and lower class american people.

I think the second question in your poll offers a false choice. I’d prefer to cut war spending (why is it called “defense”? Remind me please). If you can’t talk about cutting the Pentagon’s budget then you have no credibility to speak about cutting the size of government.

Forget taxing the rich and all the class warefare stuff. That’s a straw man to distract you while the government robs you again. We need to end income taxes and institute flat rate consumption sales taxes collected by the states and the state governments paying the fed their percentage. We need a constitutional amendment to end deficit spending. Then we have to downsize the federal government 30% across the board. When your representative in congress lies and says it can’t be done, vote him out and vote for someone who will get it done. All this talk about the rich and trying to reduce the deficit etc, etc ad nausem are ploys to distract you while they bankrupt us and take more and more of our freedom. Don’t fall for it. Government spending is no solution. It’s the problem. The 3% so called “rich” aren’t running off with all the money. The government is. Look at your paycheck.

The major problem we have is with a corrupt congress. They have voted themselves hugh pay raises… undeserved retirement packages and have becodme very wealthy with their support of big corporation donations. They have not represented the tyacpayers who elected them.. Their motivation is entirely personal. It would take several years of the voters replacing present members of congress… both Republicans and Democrats. I think we should begin this purging with the 2010 election and continue for about 12 years until we have replaced them all and fing some that will support “Terms For Congress”. This would begin a much needed cleansing of government and a change of attitude that is much needed in this country.
