According to Rasmussen, 49% of likely voters think America’s best days are in the past. 32% think the country’s best days still lie ahead and 19% are not sure.
According to the Economist, 19% of adults think the economy is getting better; 40% say it is getting worse; and 35% say it is staying the same.
According to Reuters, 31% of registered voters think the country is headed in the right direction, up from 21% in August 2011. 64% think it is headed in the wrong direction, down from 73% on year ago.
