Also according Rasmussen, 83% of adults say the size of the budget deficit is due more to the unwillingness of politicians to cut government spending than to the reluctance of taxpayers to pay more in taxes.
According to Fox News, 38% of registered voters think Democrats in Congress are serious about cutting the budget deficit while 55% think they are not serious. When asked about Republicans in Congress, 42% of registered voters think Republicans are serious while 51% say they are not.
And, on an optimistic note, according to National Journal 75% of adults believe the “American Dream” is still possible and achievable for someone like them. Only 21% said it was not possible for someone like them to achieve the “American Dream.”

If congress needs some ideas about how to cut the budget, ask the people. We’re full of ideas, such as cut congress’ overhead. Salaries. Junkets on taxpayer’s dime. Defund “Obamacare’. Eliminate Education department. Eliminate dept of energy. Eliminate ALL the czars.
It’s clear now that most of our polititions have no intention to cutting the spending. What they are concerned about is playing politics and getting elected again in 2012. I think these scammers are a discrace to this country and themselves. They are playing political games while the American people and businesses are trying to survive. What we have is a Godless bunch self-serving pigs rolling around in the slop of their sin and filth. I hope the American people will “take out the trash” in Washington someday soon and I feel a small bit of joy when I remember the fact that these scumbags won’t live forever. No someday their souls will move on to another place where they will get everything they deserve.

Here are some immediate cuts: 1 – Defund Planned Parenthood, 2 – Defund agricultural subsidies, esp. tobacco farmers and land barons that are paid not to grow anything, 3 – defund contractors for the military and federal government that overcharge for ordinary supplies, like the famous $500 toilet seat, 4 – Make congress pay into their medical and pension benefits, and cut salaries in half, 4 – cut benefits, pensions, and salaries for presidents and former presidents, because they are rich anyway so why are they still taking money from the taxpayers?, 5 – payment of social security and medicare benefits should go to poor people, and let the rich pay out of their own pocket for their retirement and medical care!!, 6 – let more prisoners be under house arrest with ankle monitors that are in for non-violent crimes, because it would be cheaper than keeping them in prison and spouses can care for their children and do housework, thus put less stress on the children and spouses that would have to go it alone – it would be more compassionate too!!!

American history has shown that no matter what the tax rates are, only about 19% of GDP ever comes in as revenue.
