CloseAccording to ABC/Washington Post, 56% of adults favor a smaller government with fewer services while 38% want a larger government with more services.
According to Resurgent Republic, when given two choices 36% of registered voters said it was a higher priority for government to spend money to help the economy. 57% said cutting spending to reduce the deficit should be a higher priority.
According to ABC/Washington Post, 1% of adults would rate the economy as excellent; 14% say it is in good shape; 39% say it is in not so good shape and 45% say it is in poor shape.
According to Rasmussen, only 16% of adults believe today’s children will be better off than their parents. 64% say today’s children will not be better off.
