CLOWN AND MINDREADER SEARCH FOR EMPLOYMENT OUTSIDE OF GSA HEARINGS
With Resumes In Hand Outside Of Dirksen Building

Arlington, VA – Today, Bankrupting America, a project of Public Notice, sent a clown and a mind reader over to the U.S. Senate to try an get jobs from GSA witnesses as they entered the GSA congressional hearings.

Members of congress in both the Senate and the House of Representatives are investigating the recent scandal involving the misuse of over $800,000 in taxpayer money by the GSA for a conference in Las Vegas.

The Bankrupting America protesters were there to hand out faux resumes and draw awareness to continued irresponsibility in government spending.

Gretchen Hamel, executive director of Public Notice, said the following:

“It’s a tough economy, so it makes sense for an experienced clown and mind reader to submit resumes to a federal agency that’s shown a willingness to hire for those positions. In all seriousness though, the outrageous bills racked up by the individuals at GSA are symptomatic of the sprawling federal bureaucracy and its lack of accountability to taxpayers. Bankrupting America hopes this tongue-in-cheek show will highlight the wasteful spending occurring throughout the federal government.”

On April 4th Bankrupting America released a parody video, now with over 27,000 views on YouTube, of footage surrounding the infamous conference in Las Vegas and the planning that went into it. The video now has over 20,000 views.
